Non-compliance; the patient is unable or unwilling to take medication as prescribed.

414. The basic pain history questions:-

Location; where is it located? Where does hurt the worst?

Quality; what is it feel like?

Severity; how bad is it?

Context; how did it happen? When did you notice it?

Timing; when did it start? how long have you had it? how frequently does it happen?

Modifying factors; what makes it better? What makes it worse?

Associated symptoms; what other symptoms are you having?

382. Meperidine should be avoided in elderly, because its metabolite which is called normeperidine (t½ 15-30 hours), may cause delirium.

383. Domperidone is preferred over metoclopramide in elderly patients, because it does not cross blood brain barrier, so less CNS side effects like drowsiness and agitation.
